How do I login?

If you are already an NSGC member or have an account with us, log in with your username and password.

If you are new to NSGC and the Online Education Center, you can join as an NSGC member and get access to discounts on online education content or create a free guest account to access content on the Online Education Center.

How do I find a product? 

You can browse the Online Education Center product by Category, which means the topic the education content is about, or by Type, which can encompass the format of the education product (webinars, online courses, and conference recordings). If you know the title or keywords of the product you are trying to find, you can use the keyword search function in the menu on the right-hand side of the home page.

How do I unlock free webinar attendance and discounted prices on products?  

Become a member! NSGC members receive free registration for live webinars and free access to our library of webinar recordings. They also receive discounted pricing on webinar contact hours and on all the products in the Online Education Center, among many other benefits.     

How do I register for a product? 

First, you must be logged into your account as an NSGC member or guest. Then, you will see a blue button on the product page that says “Register.” If a product is free for you to access, you will automatically be able to access the content. If you need to pay to access the content, it will be added to your cart until you check out. At that point you will be able to access the product’s content.

If you would like to learn more about the product ahead of purchasing, you will click where it says "More Information", and you will be able to view the overview and contents within each product. 

If you register for a live webinar, be sure to add it to your calendar by choosing the “Add to Calendar” option within your dashboard.

Where do I find all the products I attended/registered for? 

You will see all the products for which you are registered and all the sessions added to your account on your dashboard. You can access the dashboard by navigating to the dropdown of “My Content” in the menu on the right-hand side of the homepage.

What should I do if I experience an issue when viewing a webinar or course? 

If you are already logged into a webinar and experience a problem (slides stop advancing, streaming audio stops or fails, etc.), please follow these steps: 

1. Try clicking the “Refresh" button in your web browser. 
2. Clear the cache in your web browser. Then close your web browser completely.
3. Open your web browser again and try logging into the event/archive again. If none of the above steps resolve the issues, try an alternative web browser.

How are the products on the “Recommended for You" feature selected? 

 In your profile, there is a table called “Interest in Categories." These options mirror the categories in the catalog. All the products populated on your “Recommended for You" widget are selected based on the categories you selected in your profile.

What is your refund policy/how can I request a refund?

All purchases made in the NSGC Online Education Center are non-refundable, non-transferable, and may not be exchanged for any reason. This policy applies to NSGC online courses, the NSGC Member Webinar Series, the Journal of Genetic Counseling CEU Program, and recordings from NSGC Annual Conferences.

Can I get my Certified Genetic Counselor (CGC) credential or renew my certification through NSGC?   

While the NSGC offers resources and continuing professional development education that awards you contact hours to help you prepare for earning your Certified Genetic Counselor (CGC) credential, our organization does not handle the certification process.

The American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) offers the CGC exam and handles certification and renewal.

Do you have a downloadable brochure of all the products and resources NSGC offers? 

Not yet, but we are actively working on developing a brochure and hope to publish it by end of July 2026.
