This two-part continuing education course is designed for practicing genetic counselors seeking to stay abreast of rapidly evolving developments in genetic testing technologies and specialty practice areas. Part 1 explores recent advancements in laboratory testing methodologies with a focus on modern applications such as cell-free DNA analysis, gene therapies, RNA-based testing, postmortem testing, and innovations in preimplantation genetic testing. Part 2 provides in-depth updates and clinical insights in three key specialty domains: cardiovascular genetics, adult neurogenetics, and reproductive endocrinology and infertility genetics. Through expert-led presentations and case-based discussions, participants will enhance their ability to integrate the latest scientific and clinical knowledge into their practice, improving patient care and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Continuing Education Units Approval
The National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) has authorized National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) to offer up to 4.13 Category 1 contact hours for Advances in Genetic Counseling: Laboratory Technology, Cardiogenetics, Adult Neurogenetics, REI Genetics. The American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) will accept CEUs earned at this program for the purposes of genetic counselor certification and recertification.
