Advances in Genetic Counseling: Laboratory Technology, Cardiogenetics, Adult Neurogenetics, REI Genetics

This two-part continuing education course is designed for practicing genetic counselors seeking to stay abreast of rapidly evolving developments in genetic testing technologies and specialty practice areas. Part 1 explores recent advancements in laboratory testing methodologies with a focus on modern applications such as cell-free DNA analysis, gene therapies, RNA-based testing, postmortem testing, and innovations in preimplantation genetic testing. Part 2 provides in-depth updates and clinical insights in three key specialty domains: cardiovascular genetics, adult neurogenetics, and reproductive endocrinology and infertility genetics. Through expert-led presentations and case-based discussions, participants will enhance their ability to integrate the latest scientific and clinical knowledge into their practice, improving patient care and interdisciplinary collaboration.
