    This session will provide an in-depth review of the new genomic technologies that have been developed to overcome these limitations including long-read NGS (aka "third generation sequencing"), optical genome mapping, RNA sequencing, and whole methylome analysis.

    Microarray and NGS-based tests have dominated genetic diagnostics recently, but have known limitations, leaving many patients on a diagnostic odyssey. Through didactics and interactive workshops, this session will provide attendees with an in-depth review of the new genomic technologies that have been developed to overcome these limitations including long-read NGS (aka "third generation sequencing"), optical genome mapping, RNA sequencing, and whole methylome analysis. Attendees will gain a better understanding of the technologies, their benefits and limitations, clinical applications, and impact on test access and equity.

    This interactive session will focus on education and skill-building using a mix of lectures, panel discussions, role plays, and other activities, providing tools to implement these skills into your practice.

    The goals of this session are to give genetic counselors (GCs) a deeper understanding of a broad scope of topics relevant to care for transgender and gender diverse (TGD) patient populations and to build self-efficacy in providing gender-inclusive counseling to all patients. This interactive session will focus on education and skill-building using a mix of lectures, panel discussions, role plays, and other activities, providing tools to implement these skills into your practice. Speakers will include TGD community members and GCs from a variety of practice settings and specialties. The session will use the PRICE (Policy, Research, Industry, Clinic, Education) model, developed by the Cancer SIG anti-racism subcommittee, to structure the content and ensure that it is relevant to a broad GC audience. The Amplify education modules and workshops, which have been shown to improve GC knowledge and self-efficacy on TGD topics, will also be used as a model for this session.

    This symposium blends lectures and interactive case discussions led by a multi-disciplinary group of CGA-IGC members regarding recognition and management of polyposis syndromes.

    This session blends lectures and interactive case discussions led by a multi-disciplinary group of CGA-IGC members regarding recognition and management of polyposis syndromes. Lectures illustrate endoscopic, surgical, and pharmacologic management of well-established polyposis syndromes, address extra-colonic presentations, and highlight newly-identified polyposis genes. Sessions will incorporate issues related to racial and ethnic variation, consideration of gender identity in medical management decisions, and the lived experience of having a hereditary polyposis syndrome. The symposium culminates with Hereditary Live, an interdisciplinary, case-based learning experience using clinical scenarios solicited from attendees.
